Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course

This course provides a structured, practical path for healthcare professionals to learn and apply advanced life support skills, closely following current international guidelines and best practices. While not AHA-accredited, the curriculum is rigorous and evidence-based.

1. Orientation and Precourse Preparation

• Welcome and course objectives

• Recommended: Precourse self-assessment (review of basic life support, ECG basics, emergency pharmacology)

2. Foundations of ACLS

• Introduction to advanced resuscitation concepts

• Review of high-quality CPR techniques and team dynamics

• Discussion of chain of survival

3. Airway Management & Basic Life Support Integration

• Airway opening, bag-mask ventilation, adjuncts use

• Coordinating airway management with CPR and emergency response

4. Recognition & Early Management of Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies

• Reading and interpreting ECGs for common arrest rhythms (VF, VT, asystole, PEA)

• Identifying and managing respiratory arrest

• Recognizing peri-arrest conditions (e.g., bradycardia, tachycardia)

5. Pharmacology in Resuscitation

• Overview of key emergency drugs (e.g., epinephrine, amiodarone)

• Indications and dosing in cardiac arrest scenarios

6. Acute Coronary Syndromes & Stroke

• Early recognition and management strategies

• Importance of time-critical interventions

7. Practical Skills Stations

• Hands-on: Airway device placement, defibrillation, synchronization, and drug administration
